Diana, Jane and I where working on coming up with a previs for the filmed footage. We had a meeting with Christos, and settled that the footage will be shot at LCC in the main hall. It’s good to know the exact location it will be filmed because know we can come up with a floorplan and the camera movements we would like it to have.
We also made a list of the essencial 3D assets we will need to have: one classical statue, one egypcian statue, some flowers and grass, and something to expose the simulation of fire.
We would also have to look for physical classical frames, and place tape in the wall so we can track it after.
Using reference pictures of the LCC main hall, we made a white board in a Teams meeting so we could discuss where the objects would be placed in the scene.
I made a rough 3D model of the space so we would have a floorplan.

Using the model I made for the room, Diana made a camera movement previs that will be sent to Christos so he can use as a reference for the filming part.
I’ve been serching for good 3D statues to be downloaded from the internet, and most of them are triangulated ones. We’ve came upon some problems with lighting these statues, so I’ll keep looking for other ones.
In terms of look and style, I shown the vaporwave style to the girls, which combines classical figures with modern ones, and they liked a lot. So we are thinking now in incrementing neon lights close to where the classic statue will be placed.
At last, we had a meeting with Dom, a tutor that will help us with tracking the footage in 3DEqualizer, to discuss ways to improve the footage befor filming, so it will be easier to track. He guided us in adding as much tape in the walls as we can, and also helped us choose the best lens.
