Developing Ideas

For my personal project I want to get a plate and add a 3D model in a way that looks as real as possible. So go through the process of match-move, model the asset, texture it in a super realistic way, work with lighting and comp. I’ve looked for some stock footage I would like to work with, and decided to use the one shown below.

My idea is to model an extension of this building to the right. I feel like it looks like the building is cut in half, so my model will fit perfectly.

The first thing I need to do is to track the footage so that I can get the camera movement, and import it to Maya to start modelling the building.

One idea was to do the model just with blocks, and use textures to make it look realistic, but for me, modelling is an important part of this project, so I would rather model it the way it is, with all the diferent parts it has.
