This week I focused in texturing the engine and making it ready to put in the scene. All of my textures where downloaded from textures.com and built in Arnold Maya.
I changed the rusted metal I had last week to one that has more details, mainly in bump and roughness. I used 4 different png’s and applied them into the base colour, metalness, roughness and bump mapping.

For the main parts of the engine I used a texture that was a metal painted in black, and make it look like the paint was faded in the borders. To do this I used two different textures and mixed them applying the aiCurvature node, in order to apply on texture on top of the other, just leaving the borders showing the one that’s on the bottom.

For the pipes and other details I decided in using a texture that has a lot of details and looks like rusted metal.

The whole engine looked like the picture posted below, and I’m now ready to place it in the scene.
