The project focuse until now was on getting the footage and tracking it.
Christos could go in to LCC and film the area, but the ambient was quite different than expected, since the university have been making changes to the room. There was a black wall right in the middle of the place, so Chrisots improvised and filmed what he could. For that reason we had to replan the floorplan and realocate the objects.
We’ve also focused in tracking the footage in 3DE. We had a couple sessions with Dom, and faced several problems in tracking.
I recorded Dom’s tracking footage with my phone to have a reference of where to place the trackers.
Unfortunetly my tracking isn’t as good as Dom’s yet. All the points must be in a straight line in Calc, but mine aren’t. After discussing why this was happening, Dom told me I should add more tracking points.
While the tracking was being made, Jane tested the parallax in the picture, that will be implemented in the frames.
Jane also showed us a project she did a few years ago with some Keith Haring animated characters dancing in the subway, as an idea for what could be implemented in the second frame we will have. Both me and Diana fell in love with the animation and came up with the idea of adding the characters to the egypcian statue as an animated texture.
