Tracking 03
For my first attempt using planar tracking, I decided to choose a shorter footage. First I applied the checker board in the area I wanted to track and replace to see if it was working fine, and after I applied a poster I developed last year and color matched it.
Tracking 04
After nailing the tracking for a short part of the footage, I decided to track other areas in the rest of the footage.
When I finished this exercise I could realise that the tracking was bobbling and shaking in some parts. The major difficulties are when the borders of the poster I’m tracking get out of the shot. Also, it’s hard to track when there’s a moving object in front of the area. I’m looking forward to redoing this exercise.
